Chitwan National Park - Elephant Jungle Safari

...an experience not to be missed!

Spend a few days, at the end of your Trekking Adventure, at a comfortable Hotel in the Chitwan National Park. One of the most diverse wildlife and rainforest regions encompassing an area of 932 square kilometres. Experience an amazing jungle safari on the back of our elephants. Paddle down the river in a dugout canoe, bathe the elephants after riding them through the village and into the river.

Our safari allows you to closely approach some of the world’s rarest animals such as Sloth bears, the great one-horned Rhino and Bengal tigers.

Our lodge is on the edge of the interesting and traditional village of Sauraha where you can spend an evening of local culture, watching villagers performing the Stick Dance, singing and dancing in their local traditional dress. Why, you may even be invited to join in, great fun.

We have two and three day packages which can be extended if you wish to spend more time looking for that elusive tiger perhaps, or bird watching along the river or in the forest.

Our guides are naturalists with a vast knowledge of the flora and fauna of the area and are only too happy to pass on their knowledge to our guests.

We see many bird species when we float gently along the river in our dugout canoes. In addition to the bird life, you will see villagers going about their daily routines, fishing by casting their nets artfully into the water whilst being watched by mugger crocodiles floating motionless on the surface of the river. Only to disappear without a ripple as the canoe approaches.

Then, at the end of your exciting day, watch the magnificent sunset whilst sitting at the open air bar on the banks of the river, sipping on an ice cold beer or a cocktail perhaps.

A perfect end to a perfect day!
